Spicy, warm & sharp. When ginger is cooked, gingerol undergoes a process that changes it into a compound called zingerone, which imparts a somewhat sweeter flavour. Ginger helps to fight sickness and can be simmered in boiling water with lemons for 10/15 mins to create a strong brew. Add it to curry's and stir fry's. Juice it with lemon juice. Even just chew on a bit of raw Ginger to help with infections in the mouth and sore throats. The list is endless.
